Unfortunatelly, the planned renovation on the Margaret Island and Hotel surroundings is not finish yet until 31^st of May.

We would like to inform you that due to the renovation it might be noisy.

Please note that there will be traffic disruptions as well during the EASDec Meeting.

During this time the hotel's approach will limited by car and foot as well, the surface parking spaces will be limited near the Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget Island****superior.

At the same time, Margaret Island and hotels with access to public transport will also limited. The BKK pause the 26th bus service scheduled for the end of May.
The hotel can be reached by bus 34 and 106 on the Árpád Bridge, 10 minutes' walk from the “Árpád Bridge – Margitsziget” Station.

We are happy to announce the 27^th Annual Meeting of European Association for the Study of Diabetes Eye Complications Study Group, which will be held from 25-27 May, 2017 in Budapest, HUNGARY.

About EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF DIABETES EYE COMPLICATIONS STUDY GROUP (EASDec)

EASDec is a study group of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) with special responsibility for the study of the eye complications of diabetes.

Its aim is to promote the advancement of knowledge of all aspects of diabetic retinopathy, including epidemiology, pathology, pathophysiology, investigation and treatment through active collaboration between ophthalmologists and diabetologists.

The ultimate goal of the Group is to prevent the development of diabetic retinopathy and to search for the best treatment of this condition in diabetic patients.

The Annual Meeting takes place every year in a European city selected by EASDec members during the annual General Assembly. The meeting is organised by a local committee approved and overseen by the EASDec Board.

Our Purpose:

The aim of the Study Group is to further research and education in the pathophysiology, prevention, assessment and treatment of the ocular complications of diabetes.
